The teenagers at Artzenu build beautiful overlooks and rest points for the benefit of the Israeli public and to connect visitors to our homeland. The overlooks are also dedicated to the memories of brave Israelis who gave their lives for this wonderful land.
“For the Lord your God is bringing you to a good land, a land with brooks of water, fountains and depths, that emerge in valleys and mountains” (Deuteronomy 8:7)
The springs were built and renovated by volunteering teenagers from schools in the region, as part of the Land of Springs project.
We believe that exposing, developing, and making these springs accessible to the general public is very important, in order to deepen the Jewish nation’s connection to its land through hiking and swimming in Israel’s natural waters.
A lovely spring with a tree that dips down toward the water and creates a special, quaint corner. The green and blue shades of the water are breathtaking!
The clear, pleasant water is 3 meters deep.
The spring has a bridge with a diving board, and there are also tables and benches for visitors to enjoy.
The spring was built and renovated by members of the Bnei Akiva branch in Beit Shean, in beloved memory of
Eliraz Noa Clayman of Ma’alot, the director of the Bnei Akiva branch who loved the children and their families very much.
She was connected to our holy land, its pathways, springs, and landscapes.

A spring that flows into the river over a distance of 70 meters. At the end of the river, there is a wading pool where the water is about 1.5 meters deep, large jujube trees that provide shade and make it possible to spend time in the clear, pleasant water.
Maayan HaDegel is located on Alon Highway next to the community of Maskiyot.
The clear spring is part of a series of springs that flow along the length of Milkha River (Wadi al-Maliakh).
Before the spring was built, the water would flow down the canyon and permeate the soil. The teenagers at Artzenu built a large pool at the site with tables, overlooks, and pergolas around it, making spending time at the spring enjoyable, comfortable, and accessible. We recommend visiting at the end of the winter/early spring, when the region is green and flourishing.
