Above the community of Rotem in the Jordan Valley, on the ruins of an abandoned IDF post, an overlook was built in memory of Amit Ben Yigal.
Amit was a combat soldier in the Golani Reconnaissance Battalion who fell during an operation in Jenin.
The overlook is near a water tower and includes a relaxing bench swing facing the landscape, a fire pit, and a pergola.
The most beautiful part of our country is the people,” said Baruch Ben Yigal, Amit’s father. “A group of young people who never met him decided to commemorate him and build the overlook. It warms our heart; Amit’s spirit lives on.”
