At the Umm Zuka nature reserve in the Jordan Valley, the overlook was built in memory of Yosef Gino, the legendary fighter from the elite Sayeret Matkal unit, the Mossad, and the Shin Bet, considered one of Israel’s bravest fighters.
“Yossi came from a farming family that cultivated orchards at the shores of the Sea of Galilee. He was especially connected to the land and he loved the Jordan Valley region,” his widow Etti related.
The overlook includes a bench at a high point, from which a 360 degree view of the entire region is visible.
