In the State of Israel, there are many teenagers who drop out of the formal school system, leaving the communities where they live and, in severe cases, even cutting off ties with their immediate families.
In recent years, the phenomenon has increased, and teenagers have found a safe haven at these farms. The search for a warm, accepting framework that is far from their home and community leads them to find a home with the families living at the farms, who see their inherent potential and believe in their capabilities. The teens receive a sense of meaning and a lot of responsibility, which makes them feel successful and capable, and part of a big, national Zionist ideal.
Artzenu emphasizes empowering these teenagers and creates a holistic atmosphere for them. Personal and group guidance, trips and enrichment, preparation for the IDF, professional training, and teaching various life skills.
Our goal is to cause these teens to believe in themselves and their capabilities, and to re-integrate into Israeli society.
